元謀古人類歷史文化旅游項(xiàng)目是云南省十大歷史文化旅游項(xiàng)目之一。由山東菏澤交通集團(tuán)控股的云南鳳凰文化旅游實(shí)業(yè)有限公司開發(fā)建設(shè)。項(xiàng)目優(yōu)據(jù)魅力獨(dú)具的云南楚雄自治州元謀縣城西部的鳳凰山上，東臨成昆鐵路（熱水塘村），南抵元雙公路，西以普登河、勐崗河為界，北至普登村，規(guī)劃面積27395畝，其中核心區(qū)5258畝，總投資85億元。
Yuanmou ancient human history and culture tourism project is one of the top ten historical and cultural tourism projects in Yunnan Province. Yunnan Fenghuang Cultural Tourism Industry Co., Ltd., which is controlled by Shandong Heze transportation group, is developed and constructed. The project is located on Fenghuang Mountain in the west of Yuanmou County, Chuxiong Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is adjacent to Chengdu Kunming Railway (hot water pond village) in the East, yuanshuang highway in the south, Pudeng River and menggang River in the West and Pudeng village in the north. The planning area is 27395 mu, including 5258 mu of core area and 8.5 billion yuan of total investment.

項(xiàng)目開發(fā)思路為：抓住省委、省政府統(tǒng)一部署開發(fā)建設(shè)10大歷史文化旅游項(xiàng)目的重大機(jī)遇，進(jìn)一步加強(qiáng)對元謀人及其文化的挖掘、保護(hù)、展示和開發(fā)。通過建設(shè)一個(gè)文化景區(qū)、一個(gè)旅游服務(wù)區(qū)、一個(gè)休閑度假區(qū)、一個(gè)熱壩田園山谷休閑區(qū)，打造一個(gè)文化旅游產(chǎn)業(yè)新城、國家AAAAA級景區(qū)和國家級旅游渡假區(qū)。將古人類遺產(chǎn)與歷史文化、旅游產(chǎn)業(yè)、現(xiàn)代農(nóng)業(yè)等有機(jī)結(jié)合，多產(chǎn)業(yè)融合發(fā)展，增強(qiáng)古人類文化的吸引力，深度挖掘其文化內(nèi)涵，開發(fā)面向中高端市場、相互緊密聯(lián)系、文化含量較高的集文化體驗(yàn)、科普探奇、溫泉度假、養(yǎng)生度假、避寒度假、運(yùn)動休閑、農(nóng)業(yè)觀光、商務(wù)會務(wù)等功能于一體的世界古人類體驗(yàn)旅游區(qū)，中國內(nèi)陸冬季度假首選地。預(yù)計(jì)到2017年項(xiàng)目建成后年游客接待量100萬人次，實(shí)現(xiàn)旅游總收入7億元，直接帶動就業(yè)人口4000人。到2020年游客接待量達(dá)450萬人次，實(shí)現(xiàn)旅游總收入40億元，直接帶動就業(yè)人口1.5萬人。

主要以展示和體驗(yàn)元謀文化為主題，提供科普展示、文化體驗(yàn)及山地運(yùn)動等文化旅游休閑體驗(yàn)及文化交流平臺。規(guī)劃建設(shè)世界古人類文化體驗(yàn)館、世界古猿谷、東方人類共祖祭壇、遠(yuǎn)古廣場、摩登原始部落5個(gè)項(xiàng)目，打造世界祈福平臺，匯天下為一大家，感受同祖同宗的“血脈感”。建成后具有世界最奇幻的古人類起源文化園——世界古猿谷和世界最高的古人類雕塑——“元謀人”雕塑。

主要提供休閑度假、休閑娛樂、生態(tài)居住等綜合功能，打造集旅游、度假、醫(yī)療于一體的休閑養(yǎng)生、養(yǎng)老度假區(qū)。規(guī)劃建設(shè)獨(dú)臂懸崖溫泉酒店、摩訶療養(yǎng)中心、龍山頤谷、龍山云頂酒店、龍山體育公園5個(gè)項(xiàng)目。建成后具有世界最驚險(xiǎn)的溫泉—猿臂懸崖溫泉酒店和世界最綠色的養(yǎng)生度假區(qū)——龍山頤谷。
